1 AN ACT Relating to court-ordered restitution in environmental
2 criminal cases; adding a new section to chapter 90.48 RCW; adding a
3 new section to chapter 70A.15 RCW; adding a new section to chapter
4 70A.300 RCW; and prescribing penalties.
5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
6 NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 90.48
7 RCW to read as follows:
8 In determining restitution following a criminal conviction under
9 this chapter or chapter 90.56 RCW, the court is authorized to order
10 restitution for harm to natural resources or the environment.
11 NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 70A.15
12 RCW to read as follows:
13 In determining restitution following a criminal conviction under
14 this chapter, the court is authorized to order restitution for harm
15 to natural resources or the environment.
16 NEW SECTION. Sec. 3. A new section is added to chapter 70A.300
17 RCW to read as follows:
