9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
10 NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. The legislature finds that both the Second
11 Amendment to the United States Constitution, and Article 1, section
12 24 of the Washington state Constitution, protect the right of
13 individuals to bear arms in defense of themselves and shall not be
14 impaired. As such, any law adopted by the state that creates firearms
15 industry members' liability, or that bans a particular type of
16 firearm is deemed unconstitutional. Such laws are held ineffective,
17 void, and unenforceable.
