The Joint House Resolution, offered by Representative Bos-Lun of Westminster, authorizes the use of the State House for the 2026 Green Mountain Girls State educational program, which is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Vermont. This program provides 12th-grade students with a unique opportunity to learn about the workings of state government in Montpelier and serves as a leadership-training forum for future civic leaders in Vermont.

As part of their visit, the students will conduct a mock legislative session in the State House. The resolution specifies that the chambers and committee rooms will be made available for this event on June 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Additionally, the Secretary of State is directed to send a copy of the resolution to the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Vermont in Montpelier.
