The resolution congratulates the 2026 Mt. Mansfield Union High School (MMU) Cougars girls snowboarding team for their remarkable achievement in becoming co-champions at the State high school snowboarding championship held on March 4, 2026, at Jay Peak. The competition, organized by the Snowboarding Council, featured three events: slopestyle, rail jam, and giant slalom. The Cougars tied with the Wasps of Woodstock Union High School, resulting in both teams sharing the championship title. Additionally, MMU secured the individual title, marking a significant milestone for the Cougars as this was the first year of their ski and ride club.

The resolution highlights the contributions of the team members—Marlee Anderson, Riley Ayers, Sarah Diglio, Cassidy Thompson, and Sydney Howard—along with their coaches, Derek Howard and Chris Kasper, who expressed their pride in the team's success. The General Assembly officially congratulates the team and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to MMU, recognizing their outstanding performance and the establishment of their inaugural girls snowboarding program.
