The House of Representatives of Vermont has passed a concurrent resolution congratulating the winning teams of the 18th annual Jr Iron Chef VT culinary extravaganza, which took place on March 14, 2026, at the Champlain Valley Exposition. This event promotes the benefits of Vermont's Farm to School initiative while providing secondary school students with an opportunity to learn about collaboration and culinary skills. Since its inception in 2008, the competition has seen over 5,000 students participate in more than 1,000 teams, with 55 teams and 253 students competing in 2026.

The resolution highlights the achievements of the winning teams in three categories: Lively Local, Mise en Place, and Crowd Pleaser. Notable winners include the Gourmet Hawks from Mary Hogan School for their Vermont country risotto, the Bald Eagles from Mt. Abraham Unified School District for their three-cheese ravioli, and the ADL PMO from Albert D. Lawton Intermediate School for their casserole. The resolution directs the Secretary of State to send copies to each winning team and Vermont Afterschool, celebrating the culinary talents and teamwork demonstrated by the participants.
