The House of Representatives of Vermont has passed a concurrent resolution congratulating Ryan Kilborn for receiving the Vermont Forest Products Association Outstanding Management of Resources award. Kilborn, who has been a forest resource manager with Meadowsend Timberlands since 2013, is recognized for his extensive contributions to the forestry industry, including overseeing over 120 timber sales and promoting sustainable forestry practices. He holds a degree in forestry and wildlife biology from the University of Vermont and is involved in various roles, such as a Vermont tree farm inspector and a licensed herbicide applicator.

The resolution highlights Kilborn's commitment to balancing economic viability, recreation, conservation, and ecological resilience in his work. His efforts in developing high-quality sugar woods, integrating mountain bike trail systems, and enhancing biodiversity have made a significant impact in northern Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York. In addition to his award from the Vermont Forest Products Association, he is also nominated for a similar honor from the Northeastern Loggers Association. The General Assembly expresses its best wishes for Kilborn's continued success in the awards selection process and directs the Secretary of State to send him a copy of the resolution.
