The House of Representatives of Vermont has passed a concurrent resolution congratulating the 5/6 St. Albans Steelers for their remarkable achievement in winning the inaugural Northern Vermont Youth Football League 5/6 championship. The team, comprised of fifth and sixth graders from various municipalities including St. Albans City, St. Albans Town, and others, completed an undefeated regular season, which allowed them to compete in the championship game against the Chittenden South Buccaneers. The Steelers showcased their skills during the game, ultimately securing a victory with a final score of 18-7, capping off an impressive 9-0 season record.

The resolution highlights the contributions of the talented players on the team, as well as the guidance provided by Head Coach Shawn Stebbins and assistant coaches. The General Assembly expresses its pride in the team's accomplishments and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to the 5/6 St. Albans Steelers, recognizing their hard work and dedication in achieving this championship title.
