The House of Representatives of Vermont has passed a concurrent resolution congratulating the 7/8 St. Albans Steelers for their victory in the 2025 Northern Vermont Youth Football League Division I championship. The team, comprised of young athletes from various Franklin County communities, demonstrated remarkable resilience by overcoming their sixth-seed status to reach the championship game against the undefeated 7/8 Rutland Raiders. After a challenging first half, the Steelers managed to tie the game and ultimately secured their win in overtime with a final score of 26-19, marking their first Division I title since 1988.

The resolution acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the players, as well as the leadership of Head Coach Nick Norris and his assistant coaches. It expresses the General Assembly's pride in the team's achievement and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to the 7/8 St. Albans Steelers, celebrating their success and the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship they exhibited throughout the season.
