The House concurrent resolution R-227 congratulates the 2025 Colchester Little League Minors for their impressive achievement in winning the 8-10 age bracket State Little League Baseball championship. Following their success in the previous year, the team, composed of talented young players from the Colchester community, showcased their skills throughout the 2025 season. They secured the Division I title and advanced to the State championship series in East Corinth, where they triumphed over Bennington with a final score of 7-1, demonstrating their strong performance by overcoming an early deficit.
In addition to their state victory, the Colchester Little League Minors also competed in the East Region Tournament in Rhode Island, where they outperformed teams from Maine and Massachusetts, reaching the semifinal round. The resolution recognizes the contributions of the players, including Madden Barrett, Grayson Carey, and others, as well as the guidance of Head Coach Ty Pratt and assistant coaches. The General Assembly expresses its pride in the team's accomplishments and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to the Colchester Minors Little League Baseball team.
