The House of Representatives of Vermont has passed a concurrent resolution to honor Buddy Hayford, the esteemed Athletic Director and boys soccer coach at Twin Valley High School. A graduate of Twin Valley and Lyndon State College, Hayford has dedicated nearly four decades to the school, serving as a physical education instructor and multisport coach. His impressive coaching career includes a remarkable record of 437 wins in girls basketball, two state titles, and a notable achievement of 500 victories in boys soccer, making him the first high school soccer coach in Vermont and only the fourth in New England to reach this milestone.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to education and athletics, Twin Valley High School has named its athletic field in his honor, and he has been inducted into several halls of fame, including those of the Vermont Principals Association and the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association. The resolution not only celebrates Hayford's accomplishments but also directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to him and the school, acknowledging his legacy and impact on the community.
