The House Concurrent Resolution honors Micheline "Michy" Lemay of Stowe for her exceptional contributions to outdoor recreation and mindfulness leadership. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a major in outdoor education, Michy has worked as a mindfulness instructor and co-owns Rugged Adventures Summer Camp, which provides outdoor activities for youth. Despite facing significant health challenges, including multiple surgeries and a breast cancer diagnosis, she has demonstrated resilience and determination in her recovery journey.
In 2024, Michy embarked on an ambitious project called the "Mansfield Million," where she aimed to ascend one million feet up Mount Mansfield through skiing, biking, and hiking, ultimately surpassing her goal. Additionally, she has led initiatives to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for related causes. The resolution recognizes her as an inspiring role model in the Stowe community and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to her.
