The House Concurrent Resolution honors Micheline "Michy" Lemay of Stowe for her exceptional contributions to outdoor recreation and mindfulness leadership. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a major in outdoor education, Michy has worked as a mindfulness instructor and co-owns Rugged Adventures Summer Camp, which provides outdoor activities for youth. Despite facing significant health challenges, including multiple surgeries and a breast cancer diagnosis, she has demonstrated resilience and determination in her recovery journey.
In 2024, Michy embarked on an ambitious project called the "Mansfield Million," where she aimed to ascend one million feet up Mount Mansfield through skiing, hiking, and biking, ultimately surpassing her goal. Additionally, she has led initiatives to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, serving as an inspiring role model in her community. The resolution acknowledges her remarkable achievements and contributions, directing the Secretary of State to send a copy to Michy Lemay.
