The House Concurrent Resolution congratulates the Montpelier High School Solons field hockey team for their outstanding achievement in winning the 2025 Division III championship. Building on a strong foundation from previous years, the Solons entered the season as the top-ranked team and maintained an impressive undefeated record of 17-0. In the championship match against the Woodstock Union High School Wasps, the Solons faced an early challenge but managed to tie the game and ultimately secured victory in overtime with a decisive goal, finishing the match with a score of 2-1.

The resolution recognizes the exceptional talent and teamwork displayed by the players, including Opal Ritchie, Indy Roberts, and others, as well as the leadership of Head Coach Morgan Griffith and Assistant Coach Sarah McKeen. The General Assembly expresses its pride in the team's accomplishments and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to Montpelier High School, celebrating the success of the Solons and their contribution to the school's athletic legacy.
