The Elks organization, founded in 1868, aims to promote virtues such as charity, justice, and brotherly love, while enhancing the welfare and happiness of its members and fostering American patriotism.
Throughout its history, the Lodge has actively engaged in various charitable activities, including supporting youth programs, assisting veterans, and providing direct community support. In 2024 alone, the Lodge awarded $19,000 in scholarships and participated in numerous initiatives to benefit the community. With a current membership of over 800, the Lodge continues to thrive and fulfill its mission, prompting the General Assembly to formally recognize and celebrate its contributions to the community.
