The House concurrent resolution No. R-162 honors Christine J. Brock for her remarkable 52 years of dedicated service within the Vermont Judiciary. Beginning her career as an administrative assistant at the Vermont Supreme Court in 1973, Brock progressed through various roles, including deputy clerk at the Vermont District Court and manager for the District and Family Courts in Chittenden County. She played a significant role in the establishment of the Vermont Family Court and contributed to the development of the Agency of Digital Services' computer docketing system.
Brock's career culminated in her position as the Superior Court clerk for the Chittenden Unit, where she was instrumental in the reorganization of the Vermont trial court system and the creation of the Vermont Judiciary's Access and Resource Center. After an extensive and impactful career, she has now retired and is enjoying time with her family in Milton. The resolution expresses the General Assembly's gratitude for her service and directs the Secretary of State to send her a copy of the resolution.
