The House concurrent resolution congratulates Tyler (Tucker) Riggs of Fletcher for being named Vermont's Outstanding Sawmill Operator for 2024 by the Vermont Forest Products Association. Riggs is the owner of LSF Forest Products, LLC, a sawmill in Jeffersonville that was established by his father in 2003. Since returning to Vermont to help develop the business, Riggs has transformed LSF into a respected community-focused operation, known for its commitment to safety, workflow improvement, and strong community relations. He has actively engaged with various groups, including state officials and educational organizations, and has pursued further education in forest business to enhance his operations.

Under Riggs' leadership, LSF is set to double its annual production capacity to approximately one million board feet per year, supported by a Vermont Working Lands Enterprise Initiative Supply Chain Impact Grant. The resolution not only recognizes Riggs' contributions to the industry but also highlights his positive reputation among employees and customers. The General Assembly expresses its congratulations and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to Riggs.
