The Senate concurrent resolution congratulates Liliane Gordon from Hinesburg for receiving the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor for Girl Scouts in grades 9-12. Currently a freshman at the University of Vermont's Grossman School of Business, Liliane has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to community service. Notably, she captained the Champlain Valley Union High School girls track and field teams and initiated a project called "Get Active!" to address the rising issues of obesity, screen time, and mental health among young Vermonters exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Liliane dedicated over 120 hours to her project, which included coaching young athletes, providing resources for parents, and creating a video showcasing the benefits of sports participation. Her accomplishments extend beyond this project, as she has been a top cookie seller for her troop, served as a Girl Scout Ambassador, and engaged in various community service activities. In recognition of her achievements, she received an academic athletic award at her high school graduation in 2024. The resolution expresses the General Assembly's congratulations and directs the Secretary of State to send copies to Liliane and the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains.
