The House concurrent resolution No. R-41 honors Lucrecia Wonsor, the former Town Clerk and Treasurer of Killington, for her exemplary leadership in municipal government. Wonsor's career began in 2002 when she took on the role of town clerk after serving as the secretary for the Killington Planning Commission and assistant town clerk. She later added the title of town treasurer in 2013 and achieved several prestigious certifications, including Certified Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk. Her contributions to the Vermont Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Association (VMCTA) were significant, as she held various leadership positions, including president, and was named Town Clerk of the Year in 2019.

In addition to her roles within the VMCTA, Wonsor played a vital part in compiling the State-mandated clerk and treasurer fee report, which is essential for municipal fee adjustments. She also contributed to the New England Association of City and Town Clerks and served as vice chair of the election committee for the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Her dedication to public service culminated in receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Vermont League of Cities and Towns. The resolution concludes by directing the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to Wonsor and the Killington Town Clerk, recognizing her impactful career, which she concluded on December 20, 2024.
