The House concurrent resolution congratulates Vermonter Noah Dines for setting a new world record in vertical skiing, achieving an impressive total of 3,590,097 feet skied in one year. This accomplishment surpasses the previous record of 2,500,000 feet, which was established in 2016. Dines undertook this ambitious challenge with remarkable determination, skiing nearly 10,000 feet daily on his home mountain in Stowe and traveling to various locations in the U.S. and abroad to ensure year-round snow access. His efforts included utilizing multiple pairs of ski boots, skis, and skins to support his record-breaking journey.

The resolution highlights the extraordinary stamina and strength required for such a feat, noting that Dines's achievement is equivalent to 120 ascents of Mount Everest. It acknowledges his dedication and enthusiasm throughout the year, culminating in a total of 6,082 miles skied and 2,268.34 hours spent skiing. The General Assembly expresses its congratulations to Noah Dines and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to him.
