8 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to amend the
9 provisions of 1 V.S.A. § 312(a)(2) to clarify that members of the public who
10 attend an electronic meeting of a public body, but who will not be participating
11 in or speaking during the meeting, shall not be required to sign in to the
12 meeting or supply personally identifying information in a manner that would
13 incorporate that information as part of a record available under the Public
14 Records Act.

17 It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
