15 State One Act Festival championships, seven of which were achieved under the direction of superb faculty advisor Paul Curtiss, and Whereas, in 2023, Milton was one of nine theater companies that performed at the State One Act Festival on April 7 and 8, and the judges assessed its superb rendition of Circus Fire by Janet Munsil as a co-championship production, which earned the company a berth at the 2023 New England Drama Festival held at Camden Hills Regional High School in
Rockport, Maine, at which the Milton students received much applause and returned home with multiple commendations of excellence for various aspects of their presentation, and Whereas, the students who excelled in front of the footlights were Sean Boyle, Pandora Detwiler, Perrin Dulmer, Tess Follensbee, Brianne Gallas, Jasmine Green, Ava Hartley,
Noah Hecker, Otis Hecker, Chelsea Hemingway, Morgan Jones, David LaPlant, Gabby Lavee, Cameron Laychak, Dilynn Martin, Ava Merchant, Dominic Miller, Sylvia Moore,
Clay Moran, Lilly Noreault, Kayne Perales, Liam Ryan, Sofie Sayme, Megan Solleder,
Lauren Taylor, and Leslie Thibault, and the company shined with the assistance of
supporting advisors Mike Campbell, Kristy Corrow, Amanda DeCarlo, Adam Young, and Melinda Young, now therefore be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:
That the General Assembly congratulates the Milton Theater Company of Milton High School on an award-winning 2022–2023 season, and be it further Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to
Milton High School.
