Adds (i) the preservation of mature trees or planting of trees, both as a water quality protection tool and as a means of providing other natural resource benefits, and (ii) coastal resilience and adaptation to sea-level rise and climate change to the list of activities that the State Water Control Board is directed to encourage and promote as it adopts criteria for local governments to use as they consider development in Chesapeake Bay Preservation Areas. The bill directs the Board to adopt regulations to implement the provisions of the bill.
