This bill addresses bail. This bill: - defines terms; - creates the Pretrial Release Task Force (task force); - establishes members and duties of the task force; - provides a sunset date for the task force; - modifies provisions related to:the collection of certain pretrial information about an individual arrested without a warrant and booked at a jail facility; andpretrial release by a magistrate or judge; - provides that a court shall distribute a portion of forfeited monetary bail to the Indigent Defense Resources Restricted Account; and - makes technical and conforming changes.
