This joint rules resolution enacts provisions related to policy development and impact.
This resolution:
- requires the chief sponsor of legislation to specify the policy problem and measurable objectives to evaluate the impact of the legislation;
- requires the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel to assist with developing policy and ensure that legislation's drafting instructions include certain information; and
- authorizes the Office of the Legislative Auditor General, when conducting an audit, to request certain information from the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel.
