This bill addresses terminology related to opioids. This bill: - makes the following changes throughout the code and makes related, conforming changes: changes the defined term "opiate" to "opioid-like substance";changes the defined term "opiate antagonist" to "opioid antagonist"; andchanges the defined term "opiate-related drug overdose event" to "opioid-related drug overdose event"; - changes the term "opiate" to "substance" in the description of certain controlled substances; - includes coordination clauses to coordinate changes in this bill and H.B. 301, Drug Recodification, S.B. 87 Naloxone Amendments, and S.B. 98 Substance Use Rehabilitation Amendments; - defines terms; and - makes technical and conforming changes.
