This bill allows individuals 15 years and six months old to obtain a driver license and allows parents to complete driver education requirements.
This bill:
- allows individuals 15 years and six months old to apply for, and obtain a driver license;
- allows individuals 14 years and six months old to apply for, and obtain a learner permit;
- directs a local education agency to provide a parent with materials necessary to complete driver education classroom requirements for the parent's child;
- allows a parent to complete all the education requirements and behind-the-wheel driving hours for driver education purposes;
- creates new supervised driving hours requirements for parent taught driver education; and
- makes technical changes.
