This bill supplements or reduces appropriations otherwise provided for the support and operation of state government for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026 and for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027.
This bill:
- provides funding for a 2.5% labor market increase for state employees and higher education employees;
- provides funding equivalent to a 2.5% labor market increase for employees of the judicial branch and constitutional offices;
- provides funding for health and dental benefit cost changes as recommended by the Public Employees Health Programs;
- provides funding for retirement rate changes for certain state employees;
- provides funding for an up-to $26 per pay period match for qualifying state employees enrolled in a defined contribution plan;
- provides funding for step and lane increases for employees of the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind; and
- provides for other compensation adjustments as authorized.
