4 General Description:
5 This bill enacts provisions related to the University of Utah School of Medicine.

8 ▸ allows the University of Utah School of Medicine to enter into agreements with certain
9 entities.

18 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
19 Section 1. Section 53B-17-904 is enacted to read:
20 53B-17-904 . Agreement for out-of-state students.
21 Notwithstanding Section 53B-17-901, the University of Utah School of Medicine may,
22 to teach a medical student from an institution outside the state, enter into an agreement with:
23 (1) another state; or

24 (2) an institution of higher education outside the state.
25 Section 2. Effective Date.
26 This bill takes effect:
27 (1) except as provided in Subsection (2), May 7, 2025; or
28 (2) if approved by two-thirds of all members elected to each house:
29 (a) upon approval by the governor;
30 (b) without the governor's signature, the day following the constitutional time limit of

32 (c) in the case of a veto, the date of veto override.
