This bill addresses provisions related to county auditors and the delegation of accounting services.
This bill:
- defines the term "finance officer";
- provides that, if a county council delegates the provision of accounting services, the county auditor of that county is not required to fulfill an accounting or budgeting obligation described by statute unless statute explicitly states that the county auditor shall provide the accounting or budgeting obligation; and
- makes technical and conforming changes.
