This bill addresses situations where an individual experiencing a mental health crisis may interact with the criminal justice system.
This bill:
- requires local mental health authorities to provide consultation and education services concerning certain options for individuals experiencing mental health crises;
- requires the Behavioral Health Crisis Response Committee to prepare a proposal for a pilot program designed to improve outcomes for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis; and
- makes technical and conforming changes.
