10 This resolution honors the Paraguayan community in Utah.

19 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
20 WHEREAS, the state of Utah has long been a melting pot of diverse cultures,
21 traditions, and peoples, each contributing to the rich tapestry of our society;
22 WHEREAS, the Republic of Paraguay has a long history of fighting for independence,
23 democracy, and the well-being of its people;
24 WHEREAS, Paraguay stands out for its enormous number of natural resources, the rich

25 diversity of its art and culture, and the peculiar warmth of its people;
26 WHEREAS, Paraguay has always upheld the principles of the republic, democracy,
27 freedom, family, and fervent belief in God;

28 WHEREAS, the Paraguayan community in the state of Utah is characterized by hard
29 work, perseverance, and respect for laws and traditions, and has significantly contributed to the
30 growth, development, and diversity of our state;
31 WHEREAS, the Paraguayan community in Utah has demonstrated exceptional
32 dedication through their businesses and job creation, tax compliance, gastronomy, culture, and
33 art, enriching the cultural fabric of our state; and
34 WHEREAS, the Paraguayan community in Utah has embraced the laws, customs, and
35 principles of the United States, integrating harmoniously with Öº [other minorities and] »Ö the
36 American people, Öº including other minorities, »Ö while upholding the values of religious
36a freedom, respect for laws, family,
37 entrepreneurship, and healthy entertainment:
38 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of the state of Utah
39 recognizes the warmth and kindness of the people of Utah, who have welcomed and supported
40 the Paraguayan community, fostering a strong bond built on mutual respect and understanding.
41 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature expresses deep appreciation and
42 gratitude to the Paraguayan community for their significant contributions to the state of Utah.
43 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature commend the Paraguayan
44 community for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to upholding the values that
45 enrich our society.
46 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature recognizes the Paraguayan
47 community as an integral part of our diverse and vibrant state, and celebrates their positive
48 impact on the social, economic, and cultural landscape of Utah.
