   To reduce recurring reporting requirements imposed by law on the 
                          Department of State.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``State Department Recurring Reports 
Repeal and Sunset Act of 2026''.

SEC. 2. REPEALS AND MODIFICATIONS OF CERTAIN FOREIGN AFFAIRS-RELATED 
              RECURRING REPORTS.

    (a) Repeals.--
            (1) Section 5520 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense 
        Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (division E of Public 
        Law 117-263) is amended by striking subsection (b).
            (2) The Department of State Authorization Act of 2022 
        (division I of Public Law 117-263) is amended--
                    (A) in section 9402, by striking subsection (d); 
                and
                    (B) in section 9506, by striking subsection (e).
            (3) Section 257(b)(3) of the Countering America's 
        Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (22 U.S.C. 9546(b)(3)) is 
        amended--
                    (A) by striking subparagraph (B); and
                    (B) in subparagraph (C)--
                            (i) by striking the first sentence; and
                            (ii) in the second sentence, by striking 
                        ``In addition, the'' and inserting ``The''.
            (4) Section 1247 of the National Defense Authorization Act 
        for Fiscal Year 2016 (10 U.S.C. 494 note) is repealed.
            (5) Section 106(b)(6) of the Bipartisan Congressional Trade 
        Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015 (19 U.S.C. 
        4205(b)(6)) is amended--
                    (A) by striking subparagraph (C); and
                    (B) in subparagraph (E), by striking clause (iii).
            (6) Section 12 of the Tom Lantos Block Burmese JADE 
        (Junta's Anti-Democratic Efforts) Act of 2008 (50 U.S.C. 1701 
        note) is repealed.
            (7) Section 570 of the Omnibus Consolidated Appropriations 
        Act, 1997 (50 U.S.C. 1701 note) is amended by striking 
        subsection (d).
            (8) Section 115 of the Mutual Educational and Cultural 
        Exchange Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. 2465) is amended by striking 
        subsection (h).
            (9) Section 407 of the Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law 
        Accountability Act of 2012 (Public Law 112-208) is repealed.
            (10) Section 5103 of the Serve America Act (Public Law 111-
        13) is amended by striking subsection (f).
            (11) Section 1012 of the National Defense Authorization Act 
        for Fiscal Year 1995 (Public Law 103-337) is amended by 
        striking subsection (c).
            (12) Section 12 of the Clean Diamond Trade Act (Public Law 
        108-19; 19 U.S.C. 3911) is repealed.
            (13) The Afghanistan Freedom Support Act of 2002 is 
        amended--
                    (A) in section 103 (22 U.S.C. 7513), by striking 
                subsection (d); and
                    (B) in section 104 (22 U.S.C. 7514), by striking 
                subsection (c).
            (14) Notwithstanding subsection (a)(10) of the Resolution 
        of Ratification for the Treaty between the United States of 
        America and the Russian Federation on Measures for the Further 
        Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (Treaty 
        Document 111-5), adopted in the Senate on December 22, 2010, 
        the President shall not be required to submit to Congress the 
        report described in such subsection.
            (15) Notwithstanding subsection (a)(12)(B) of the 
        Resolution of Ratification for the Treaty between the United 
        States of America and the Russian Federation on Measures for 
        the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive 
        Arms (Treaty Document 111-5), adopted in the Senate on December 
        22, 2010, the President shall not be required to submit to 
        Congress the report described in such subsection.
            (16) Notwithstanding section 2(8) of the Resolution of 
        Ratification for the Treaty Between the Government of the 
        United States of America and the Government of Australia 
        Concerning Defense Trade Cooperation (Treaty Document 110-10), 
        adopted in the Senate on September 29, 2010, the President 
        shall not be required to submit to Congress the report 
        described in such section.
            (17) Notwithstanding section 2(9) of the Treaty Between the 
        Government of the United States of America and the Government 
        of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland 
        Concerning Defense Trade Cooperation (entered into force with 
        respect to the United States on April 13, 2012; TIAS 12-413), 
        the President shall not be required to submit to Congress the 
        report described in such section.
            (18) Section 606(a) of the Secure Embassy Construction and 
        Counterterrorism Act of 1999 (22 U.S.C. 4865(a)) is amended--
                    (A) in paragraph (2)(B), by striking clause (iii); 
                and
                    (B) in paragraph (3)(B), by striking clause (iii).
            (19) The Department of State Authorization Act of 2023 
        (division F of Public Law 118-31) is amended as follows:
                    (A) By repealing section 6107.
                    (B) In section 6203--
                            (i) by striking ``(a) in General.--''; and
                            (ii) by striking subsection (b).
                    (C) In section 6211--
                            (i) by striking subsections (b) and (e); 
                        and
                            (ii) by redesignating subsections (c), (d), 
                        and (f) as subsections (b), (c), and (d), 
                        respectively.
                    (D) In section 6213--
                            (i) by striking ``(a) in General.--''; and
                            (ii) by striking subsection (b).
                    (E) In section 6227, by striking subsection (d).
            (20) Section 935 of the Energy Independence and Security 
        Act of 2007 (42 U.S.C. 17374(d)) is amended--
                    (A) by striking subsection (d); and
                    (B) by redesignating subsection (e) as subsection 
                (d).
            (21) Section 112 of the Mutual Educational and Cultural 
        Exchange Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. 2460) is amended by striking 
        subsection (f).
            (22) Section 104(g) of the Henry J. Hyde United States-
        India Peaceful Atomic Energy Cooperation Act of 2006 (22 U.S.C. 
        8003(g)) is amended--
                    (A) by striking ``Reporting to Congress'' and all 
                that follows through ``The President shall keep'' and 
                inserting ``Reporting to Congress.--The President shall 
                keep''; and
                    (B) by striking paragraphs (2), (3), and (4).
    (b) Modifications.--
            (1) The Department of State Authorization Act for Fiscal 
        Year 2025 (division G of Public Law 118-159) is amended as 
        follows:
                    (A) In section 7113--
                            (i) in the section heading, by striking 
                        ``semiannual''; and
                            (ii) in subsection (a), by striking ``, and 
                        every 180 days thereafter for 5 years,'' and 
                        inserting ``and annually thereafter for five 
                        years''.
                    (B) In section 7212, in the matter preceding 
                paragraph (1), by striking ``, and at least every 120 
                days thereafter for 5 years,'' and inserting ``, and 
                annually thereafter for five years''.
            (2) Section 6404(b) of the Department of State 
        Authorization Act of 2023 (22 U.S.C. 4865 note) is amended--
                    (A) in paragraph (1), by striking ``, and every 180 
                days thereafter for the next five years,'' and 
                inserting ``, and annually thereafter for five 
                years,''; and
                    (B) in paragraph (2)(A), by striking ``180 days'' 
                and inserting ``calendar year''.
            (3) Section 104(e)(2) of the Trafficking Victims Protection 
        Reauthorization Act of 2005 (22 U.S.C. 7111) is amended--
                    (A) by striking ``At least 15 days prior to voting 
                for'' and inserting ``Not later than June 30 of each 
                year, in regard to''; and
                    (B) by striking ``(or in an emergency, as far in 
                advance as is practicable)''.
            (4) Section 2245 of the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 1999 
        (Public Law 105-277) is amended by striking ``, and every 6 
        months thereafter'' and inserting ``, and annually thereafter 
        through December 31, 2030,''.
            (5) Section 605(b)(2)(B) of the International Religious 
        Freedom Act of 1998 (22 U.S.C. 6473a(b)(2)(B)) is amended by 
        striking ``every 180 days thereafter'' and inserting ``annually 
        thereafter''.
            (6) Section 620C(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 
        (22 U.S.C. 2373(c)) is amended in the second sentence by 
        striking ``and at the end of each succeeding 60-day period'' 
        and inserting ``and at the end of each calendar year thereafter 
        through 2030''.
            (7) Section 527(f) of the Foreign Relations Authorization 
        Act, Fiscal Years 1994 and 1995 (22 U.S.C. 2370a(f)) is amended 
        in the matter preceding paragraph (1) by inserting ``through 
        fiscal year 2030'' after ``each fiscal year thereafter''.
            (8) Section 12310 of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (22 
        U.S.C. 277i) is amended by inserting ``through 2030'' after `` 
        and annually thereafter''.
            (9) Section 38(l)(6)(B)(ii) of the Arms Export Control Act 
        (22 U.S.C. 2778(l)(6)(B) is amended by striking the period at 
        the end and inserting ``through fiscal year 2038.''.
            (10) Section 1331(e) of the National Defense Authorization 
        Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (22 U.S.C. 10411(e)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through fiscal year 2038'' after ``and annually 
        thereafter''.
            (11) Section 8341(a) of the National Defense Authorization 
        Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (22 U.S.C. 10710(a)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through 2030'' after ``and every two years 
        thereafter''.
            (12) Section 101(d) of the International Religious Freedom 
        Act of 1998 (22 U.S.C. 6411) is amended in the third sentence 
        by inserting ``for each year through 2030'' after ``is 
        submitted to Congress''.
            (13) Section 105(a) of the Israel Relations Normalization 
        Act of 2022 (22 U.S.C. 8601) is amended by inserting ``through 
        2030'' after ``and annually thereafter''.
            (14) Section 6 of Syria Accountability and Lebanese 
        Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003 (22 U.S.C. 2151 note) is 
        amended by inserting after ``until the conditions described in 
        paragraphs (1) through (4) of section 5(d) are satisfied'' the 
        following: ``or through December 31, 2030, whichever occurs 
        earlier''.
            (15) Section 1(c) of the Act entitled, ``To address the 
        participation of Taiwan in the World Health Organization'' (22 
        U.S.C. 290 note), is amended by inserting ``through 2030'' 
        after ``not later than April 1 of each year thereafter''.
            (16) Section 723 of the USA PATRIOT Improvement and 
        Reauthorization Act of 2005 (22 U.S.C. 2291 note) is amended by 
        inserting ``through 2030'' after ``and annually thereafter''.
            (17) Section 124 of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act 
        for Fiscal Years 1988 and 1989 (22 U.S.C. 2680 note) is amended 
        by striking ``each quarter of''.
            (18) Section 9209(a) of the Department of State 
        Authorization Act of 2022 (22 U.S.C. 3921 note) is amended by 
        striking ``and every 180 days thereafter'' and inserting ``and 
        annually thereafter''.
            (19) Section 51(a) of the State Department Basic 
        Authorities Act of 1956 (22 U.S.C. 2373(a)) is amended--
                    (A) in paragraph (1), by striking ``on a timely 
                basis'' and inserting ``on an annual basis''; and
                    (B) in paragraph (2), by striking ``on a semiannual 
                basis'' and inserting ``on an annual basis''.
            (20) The Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions 
        Act is amended--
                    (A) in section 109(a) (22 U.S.C. 9408), by striking 
                ``and every 180 days thereafter'' and inserting ``and 
                annually thereafter through December 31, 2030''; and
                    (B) in section 255(a) (22 U.S.C. 9544(a)), by 
                inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``and 
                annually thereafter''.
            (21) Section 10(a) of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 (50 
        U.S.C. 1701 note) is amended by striking ``and every 6 months 
        thereafter'' and inserting ``and annually thereafter through 
        December 31, 2030''.
            (22) Section 813 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (22 
        U.S.C. 2431k) is amending by inserting ``through 2030'' after 
        ``of each year''.
            (23) Section 7807(f) of the Department of State 
        Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 (division G of Public 
        Law 118-159) is amended by inserting ``through 2030'' after 
        ``and annually thereafter''.
            (24) Section 8367(d) of the National Defense Authorization 
        Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (22 U.S.C. 7003(d)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through September 30, 2038'' after ``once every 4 
        years thereafter''.
            (25) Section 202(d) of the North Korea Sanctions and Policy 
        Enhancement Act of 2016 (22 U.S.C. 9222(d)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``and annually 
        thereafter''.
            (26) Section 1333(b)(1) of National Defense Authorization 
        Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (22 U.S.C. 10413(b)(1)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through December 31, 2038'' after ``and biennially 
        thereafter''.
            (27) Section 302(a) of the North Korea Sanctions and Policy 
        Enhancement Act of 2016 (22 U.S.C. 9241(a)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``and 
        periodically thereafter''.
            (28) Section 64(g)(1) of the State Department Basic 
        Authorities Act of 1956 (22 U.S.C. 2735a(g)(1)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``and annually 
        thereafter''.
            (29) Section 5124(a)(4) of the National Defense 
        Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 (division E of Public 
        Law 118-159) is amended by inserting after ``not less 
        frequently than twice each year'' the following: ``through 
        December 31, 2030''.
            (30) Section 1502(c)(2)(C) of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street 
        Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Public Law 111-203; 15 
        U.S.C. 78m note) is amended by adding at the end before the 
        period the following: ``, or through December 31, 2030, 
        whichever occurs earlier''.
            (31) Section 2809(c)(2) of the Foreign Affairs Reform and 
        Restructuring Act of 1998 (division G of Public Law 105-277; 22 
        U.S.C. 2021 note) is amended by inserting ``through December 
        31, 2030'' after ``and on an annual basis thereafter''.
            (32) Section 909(d)(1) of the Trade Facilitation and Trade 
        Enforcement Act of 2015 (19 U.S.C. 4452(d)(1)) is amended by 
        inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``and annually 
        thereafter''.
            (33) The Rebuilding Economic Prosperity and Opportunity for 
        Ukrainians Act of 2024 is amended--
                    (A) in section 104(i) (22 U.S.C. 9521 note), by 
                inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``every 
                180 days thereafter'';
                    (B) in section 105(g) (22 U.S.C. 9521 note), by 
                inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``every 
                90 days thereafter''; and
                    (C) in section 106 (22 U.S.C. 9521 note), by 
                inserting ``through December 31, 2030'' after ``every 
                180 days thereafter''.
            (34) Section 9202(b)(2) of the National Defense 
        Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law 116-283; 47 
        U.S.C. 906(b)(2)) is amended by inserting ``through December 
        31, 2030'' after ``an annual report''.
