A BILL
To allow the U.S. Marshals Service to assist in certain Tribal criminal
matters, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Tribal Warrant Fairness Act''.
SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS.
(a) U.S. Marshals Service.--Section 566(e)(1) of title 28, United
States Code, is amended--
(1) in subparagraph (B), by inserting ``including Tribal
fugitive matters (on the request of an Indian Tribe, as
applicable),'' after ``matters,''; and
(2) in subparagraph (D), by inserting ``Tribal,'' after
``local,''.
(b) Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000.--Section 6 of the
Presidential Threat Protection Act of 2000 (34 U.S.C. 41503) is
amended--
(1) in subsection (a)--
(A) by inserting ``and Indian Tribes'' after
``components''; and
(B) by striking ``and local'' and inserting
``local, and Tribal''; and
(2) in subsection (c), by striking ``Federal or State law''
and inserting ``Federal, State, or Tribal law''.
