Recognizing the 10-year anniversary of the TORQE 62 crash in Jalalabad, 
                              Afghanistan.

Mr. Arrington submitted the following resolution; which was referred to 
                    the Committee on Armed Services

                               RESOLUTION


 
Recognizing the 10-year anniversary of the TORQE 62 crash in Jalalabad, 
                              Afghanistan.

Whereas, on October 2, 2015, a C-130J Super Hercules with call-sign TORQE 62, 
        crashed on departure from Jalalabad Airfield, Afghanistan;
Whereas 6 United States Air Force service members and 5 civilian contractors 
        lost their lives as a result of the crash;
Whereas the Airmen and civilian contractors were serving in support of Operation 
        Freedom's Sentinel;
Whereas the service members include--

    (1) Captain Jonathan J. Golden, 33;

    (2) Captain Jordan B. Pierson, 28;

    (3) Staff Sergeant Ryan D. Hammond, 26;

    (4) Senior Airman Quinn L. Johnson-Harris, 21;

    (5) Senior Airman Nathan C. Sartain, 29; and

    (6) Airman 1st Class Kcey E. Ruiz, 21;

Whereas the sacrifice of the TORQE 62 crew is a solemn reminder of the daily 
        risks endured by those who wear the uniform of the United States and by 
        the civilians who serve alongside them; and
Whereas the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, the 455th Air Expeditionary 
        Wing, and Airmen across the force continue to honor the legacy of TORQE 
        62 through remembrance ceremonies, battlefield crosses, and 
        commemorative roll calls: Now, therefore, be it
    Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
            (1) commemorates the lives, courage, and service of the 6 
        United States Airmen and 5 civilian contractors killed in the 
        TORQE 62 crash on October 2, 2015, in Jalalabad, Afghanistan;
            (2) extends heartfelt condolences to the families, loved 
        ones and friends of the crew; and
            (3) expresses gratitude for the courage, duty and selfless 
        service demonstrated by the crew of TORQE 62, and all those who 
        served in Operation Freedom's Sentinel.
