Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Responding to Exploitation and Sharing of Private Explicit Content and Threats Act'' or the ``RESPECT Act''. SEC. 2. INCREASED PENALTIES RELATED TO INTENTIONAL DISCLOSURE OF NONCONSENSUAL INTIMATE VISUAL DEPICTIONS. Section 223(h) of the Communications Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 223(h)) is amended-- (1) in paragraph (4)-- (A) in subparagraph (A), by striking ``2 years'' and inserting ``5 years''; and (B) in subparagraph (B), by striking ``3 years'' and inserting ``10 years''; and (2) in paragraph (6)(B)-- (A) in clause (i), by striking ``18 months'' and inserting ``3 years''; and (B) in clause (ii), by striking ``30 months'' and inserting ``5 years''. <all>
