Sanchez, Ms. Sewell, Ms. DelBene, Ms. Chu, Ms. Moore of Wisconsin, Mr. 
   Boyle of Pennsylvania, Mr. Beyer, Mr. Evans of Pennsylvania, Mr. 
   Schneider, Mr. Panetta, Mr. Gomez, Ms. Plaskett, and Mr. Suozzi) 
submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee 
                           on Ways and Means

                               RESOLUTION


 
  Of inquiry requesting the President of the United States to furnish 
  certain information to the House of Representatives relating to the 
operations of the Social Security Administration after March 12, 2025, 
  including information on the Department of Government Efficiency's 
access to the Social Security Administration and to information in the 
                   possession of such Administration.

    Resolved, That the President is requested to furnish the House of 
Representatives, not later than 14 days after the date of adoption of 
this resolution, copies of any document, record, audio recording, 
memorandum, call log, correspondence (electronic or otherwise), audit 
trails and audit logs, written agreements, or other communication in 
his possession, or any portion of any document, record, audio 
recording, memorandum, call log, correspondence (electronic or 
otherwise), or other communication, that refers or relates to the 
following, including analysis of the effects on the public's ability to 
access Social Security Administration services and benefits:
            (1) Policies announced by the Social Security 
        Administration on March 18, 2025, and March 26, 2025, that will 
        end the ability of seniors, survivors, spouses and children to 
        complete an application for Social Security benefits by phone, 
        instead requiring those who cannot file their claim online to 
        visit a local Social Security office to validate their 
        identity.
            (2) Closure or consolidation of Social Security 
        Administration field offices, card centers, and hearing offices 
        after March 12, 2025.
            (3) Staffing reductions at the Social Security 
        Administration after March 12, 2025, including reduction in 
        force actions pursuant to sections 3501 through 3504 of title 
        5, United States Code, and part 351 of title 5 of the Code of 
        Federal Regulations.
