                                 A BILL


 
 To provide that any United States Government identification document 
       issued for an illegal alien is not sufficient to meet the 
  identification document requirement for acquiring a firearm from a 
           Federal firearms licensee, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``No Guns for Illegal Aliens Act''.

SEC. 2. INSUFFICIENCY OF IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS ISSUED FOR AN ILLEGAL 
              ALIEN IN MEETING THE IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT REQUIREMENT 
              FOR ACQUIRING A FIREARM FROM A FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSEE.

    Section 922(t)(1)(D) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by 
inserting ``, other than an identification document issued for an alien 
(as defined in section 101(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 
U.S.C. 1101(a))) who has not been admitted (as so defined),'' before 
``of the transferee containing''.
