R. 9927 To terminate the Shelter and Services Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and for other purposes. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES October 4, 2024 Ms. Mace (for herself, Mr. Donalds, Mr. Buchanan, Mr. Langworthy, Mr. Posey, Ms. Boebert, Mr. Norman, Mr. Mooney, Mr. Mills, and Ms. Malliotakis) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Financial Services, and in addition to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To terminate the Shelter and Services Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. TERMINATION. Beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, no Federal funds are authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available to the Shelter and Services Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as in effect on the day before such date of enactment, or to any successor or similar program. SEC. 2. TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATIONS. The unobligated balances of all amounts appropriated or otherwise made available to the Shelter and Services Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency as of the day before the date of the enactment of this Act shall be transferred to and merged with amounts otherwise made available for necessary expenses to carry out the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq.). <all>
