A BILL
To direct the Secretary of State to revoke the visa of any alien
admitted to the United States under section 101(a)(15)(F) of the
Immigration and Nationality Act who has been convicted of assault in a
police officer or an offense related to rioting.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``UProot Rioting International
Students Engaged in Radical Subversion Act'' or the ``UPRISERS Act''.
SEC. 2. REVOCATION OF STUDENT VISAS FOR ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER AND
RIOTING.
The Secretary of State shall revoke the visa of any alien admitted
to the United States under section 101(a)(15)(F), (J), or (M) of the
Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(15)(F), (J), (M)) who
has been convicted of--
(1) assaulting a police officer; or
(2) an offense related to rioting, including--
(A) inciting a riot;
(B) organizing, promoting, encouraging,
participating in, or carrying on a riot;
(C) committing any act of violence in furtherance
of a riot; or
(D) aiding or abetting any person in inciting or
participating in or carrying on a riot or committing
any act of violence in furtherance of a riot.
SEC. 3. DEPORTABILITY OF STUDENT VISA HOLDERS FOR ASSAULTING A POLICE
OFFICER AND RIOTING.
Section 237(a)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C.
1227(a)(2)) is amended by adding at the end the following:
``(G) Student visa holders who assault a police
officer or rioting.--Any alien admitted to the United
States under section 101(a)(15)(F), (J), or (M) who has
been convicted of--
``(i) assaulting a police officer; or
``(ii) an offense related to rioting,
including--
``(I) inciting a riot;
``(II) organizing, promoting,
encouraging, participating in, or
carrying on a riot;
``(III) committing any act of
violence in furtherance of a riot; or
``(IV) aiding or abetting any
person in inciting or participating in
or carrying on a riot or committing any
act of violence in furtherance of a
riot,
is deportable.''.
