following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and
Commerce, and in addition to the Committees on Transportation and
Infrastructure, and Science, Space, and Technology, for a period to be
subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration
of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee
concerned

A BILL
To amend the Infrastructure and Investment and Jobs Act to repeal the
authority of the Secretary of Energy and the Secretary of
Transportation to maintain an electric vehicle working group, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Free Market Drives Itself Act''.
SEC. 2. ABOLISHMENT OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE WORKING GROUP.
(a) Repeal.--Section 25006 of the Infrastructure and Investment and
Jobs Act (23 U.S.C. 151 note) and the item relating to such section in
section 1(b) of such Act are repealed.
(b) Prohibition on Continuation or Reestablishment of Working
Group.--The Secretary of Energy and the Secretary of Transportation may
not continue or reestablish the electric vehicle working group
described in such section, or establish any substantially similar
working group or advisory committee.
