  To amend title 18, United States Code, to increase the scope of the 
                  penalty for crimes against children.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the `` Paula Bohovesky and Joan 
D'Alessandro Act''.

SEC. 2. DEATH OR IMPRISONMENT FOR CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN.

    Section 3559(d)(1)(A) of title 18, United States Code, is amended 
by inserting after ``14 years'' the following: ``or if the victim has 
not attained the age of 18 years if the charge involved a sexual 
offense''.
