                                 A BILL


 
     To amend the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to expand 
  eligibility for certain financial assistance for the acquisition of 
            slip-on tanker units for wildland firefighting.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Slip-on Tanks for Tribes Act of 
2024''.

SEC. 2. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ACQUISITION OF FIREFIGHTING SLIP-ON 
              TANKER UNITS.

    Section 40803(c)(5) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act 
(16 U.S.C. 6592(c)(5)) is amended by inserting ``and Indian Tribes'' 
after ``local governments''.
