Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Nonrestrictive Offshore Wind Act'' or the ``NOW Act''. SEC. 2. REPEAL OF OFFSHORE WIND LEASING RESTRICTIONS. (a) Limitation on Issuance of Certain Leases or Rights-of-Way.-- Section 50265(b) of Public Law 117-169 (commonly known as the ``Inflation Reduction Act of 2022'') (43 U.S.C. 3006(b)) is amended-- (1) by striking paragraph (2); (2) in paragraph (1), by striking ``this Act'' in the matter preceding paragraph (1) and all that follows through ``(1) the Secretary may'' in paragraph (1) and inserting ``this Act, the Secretary may''; (3) by redesignating subparagraphs (A) and (B) as paragraphs (1) and (2), respectively, and indenting appropriately; and (4) in paragraph (2) (as so redesignated), by redesignating clauses (i) and (ii) as subparagraphs (A) and (B), respectively, and indenting appropriately. (b) Conforming Amendments.--Section 50265 of Public Law 117-169 (commonly known as the ``Inflation Reduction Act of 2022'') (43 U.S.C. 3006) is amended-- (1) in subsection (a)-- (A) by striking paragraph (2); and (B) by redesignating paragraph (3) as paragraph (2); and (2) in subsection (c), by striking ``paragraphs (1) and (2) of''. <all>
