  To amend the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 to reauthorize the 
  emergency and transitional pet shelter and housing assistance grant 
                                program.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Pet and Women Safety Reauthorization 
Act of 2023'' or the ``PAWS Reauthorization Act of 2023''.

SEC. 2. EMERGENCY AND TRANSITIONAL PET SHELTER AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE 
              GRANT PROGRAM.

    Section 12502(b)(8)(A) of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 
(34 U.S.C. 20127(8)(A)) is amended by striking ``2019 through 2023'' 
and inserting ``2024 through 2028''.
