Jack was a devoted family man, married to Peggy Copeland Jones until her passing in 2016, and he took pride in his two sons, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. 
In his retirement, Jack became actively involved in his community in Mineola, serving two terms on the city council and participating in organizations such as the Kiwanis Club. He was recognized for his contributions with awards like the 2017 Man of the Year from the Rotary Club of Mineola and the 2017 Humanitarian of the Year from the Pilot Club of Mineola. Jack was also a member of First Methodist Church-Mineola, where he engaged in various church activities. The resolution expresses condolences to his family and acknowledges the respect and admiration he earned from those who knew him.
