He married Sherri Hankins on March 30, 2001, and together they enjoyed a fulfilling marriage for nearly 25 years. Harry was a proud father to eight children and cherished his time with his 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He had a passion for playing dominoes and cards, as well as a love for sports, particularly the Dallas Cowboys.
