The resolution honors the memory of Christi Michelle Mayeux, who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on July 24, 1973, in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of Don Carson and Carol Elaine Overstreet and grew up alongside her two sisters, Tracie and Vicki. Christi married William Mayeux on November 17, 2007, and together they shared a loving marriage for 17 years. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Mariah and a caring stepmother to her husband's sons, Wesley and Collin. Christi was also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Layton, Landry, and Lawsyn.
Professionally, Christi had a fulfilling career as a radiologist and worked as a certified pharmacist for over two decades. A woman of strong faith, she was an active member of New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. The resolution expresses deep sympathy to her family, including her husband, children, grandchildren, parents, sisters, and many friends, acknowledging the warmth and kindness she brought to their lives. It concludes with a request for an official copy of the resolution to be prepared for her family and for the Texas Senate to adjourn in her memory.
