Originally from Ontario, Dr. Reynard earned her degrees in dental hygiene and education from Lamar University and later obtained a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Houston. She began her career in 1979 as a dental hygiene instructor at Lamar University and progressed through various administrative roles, ultimately becoming vice president of Academic Affairs and Workforce Technology at Lamar Institute of Technology before assuming the presidency at Lamar State College--Port Arthur in 2014.
Under Dr. Reynard's leadership, the college has experienced significant growth and success, fostering a culture of academic excellence and community engagement. She is highly regarded in her field, serving on various boards and as the current president of the American Technical Education Association. Her contributions to higher education have been recognized with several awards, including the Ben and Julie Rogers Community Service Award and the Pacesetter Award. The resolution commends Dr. Reynard for her exceptional achievements and service, extending best wishes for her future endeavors.
