The Commission will also engage with the families and communities of the victims to determine the content of the plaques, which will include an inscription with the dates of the flood and may feature the names and ages of the victims, along with other relevant details.

The Act is set to take effect 91 days after the conclusion of the legislative session. It emphasizes the importance of community involvement and remembrance in the wake of the tragedy, ensuring that the victims are honored in a meaningful way.
