Born in Lone Oak in 1919, Madeline grew up on a self-sustaining farm during the Great Depression and received her education at local schools. She enjoyed a loving marriage to Thomas Holland Groce and has a large family, including six children, 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, she has contributed to her community by working at the Snook School cafeteria, Goodnight Memorial Hospital, and as a research technician at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.
Madeline has been an active member of her local churches and has participated in various ministries and choir activities. Her life has spanned many significant historical events, and she is admired for her warmth and generosity. The resolution celebrates her remarkable milestone and expresses the esteem of the Texas Senate, extending congratulations and best wishes to her on this special occasion.
