The resolution commemorates the 75th anniversary of St. John's Episcopal Church in Carthage, which will be celebrated on September 21, 2025. The church was founded on July 29, 1950, by Pastor John W. Fritts, initially meeting in an abandoned theater with a small group of charter members. Over the years, the congregation grew and moved to a garage apartment before constructing a sanctuary in 1951, which was dedicated the following year. The church has since expanded to include a parish hall and an education wing, and it successfully paid off its debts by 1961. Currently, Pastor Jennene Laurinec leads the congregation, which has established various programs to foster fellowship and assist those in need.

The resolution expresses the Texas House of Representatives' recognition of the church's significant role in the community, providing spiritual guidance to many residents of Carthage over the years. It extends best wishes to the members of St. John's Episcopal Church for their future endeavors and directs that an official copy of the resolution be prepared as a token of esteem from the Texas House.
